DISCOVERY 1 Last week, on Friday the 13th, the first CANNABIS CAFE opened its doors to the people of Portland. I always thought that criminalizing marijuana was ludicrous. I don't use it. I tried it once, just to find out what it would be like. But I can't think of a single reason why other people ought not to be allowed to enjoy it. Getting drunk or stoned should be every American's legal right, don't you agree?

PERFECT ACTIONS The Sioux Indian Nation's Treaty Council, has filed a lawsuit against the Angel Valley Retreat Center where 2 sweat lodge participants died, and where 19 others had to be taken to a hospital where a third participant also died. The lawsuit names 7 defendants, including self-anointed guru The lawsuit's core is centered on the 1868 treaty between the Sioux Indian Nation and the Federal Government, which states that the Angel Valley Retreat Center violated this 1868 treaty by desecrating the sacretness of the sweat lodge....by causing 3 deaths....by destroying all evidence of this event....and by having also violated the United Nations' Declaration on the Rights of Indigenous People's entitlement to full control of their cultural and intellectual property.

PERFECT MOMENTS It was somewhere around dusk, last night, when I stood at my window and watched a lonely pine-tree on the mountain ridge about half a mile away from me. Then a small, blinking light appeared at the exact center of the tip of that pine-tree, making it look like a perfect Christmas tree, and I realized that the blinking light was not a star, but a small plane that slowly continued on its way, leaving once again, just a lonely pine-tree on the mountain ridge. REDUX /// 58 \\\ US Senator DeMint has been my hero for several months. As the only Senator to have actually visited Honduras to speak directly to its government and to its people, he worked tirelessly to undo the grave injustices being committed by just about everybody in Washington. Read about a happy ending:

During an hour-long talk in front of military doctors at Walter Reed, Nidal Malik Hasan, the perpetrator of the Fort Hood Massacre, said that non-muslims should be beheaded and have boiling oil poured down their throats. He also said that non-believers are infidels condemned to hell, who should be set on fire. Yet all that Napolitano, our Homeland Security chief, is worried about right now, is an American backlash against muslims. JUDICIAL WATCH Monday, November 9, 2009

LAST NIGHT 3 Sigmund Freud postulated that most humor, jokes, and certain forms of comedy, are evidence of anger and rage turned sideways. Last night's blackboard-attack during the Daily Show, displayed a clear example of this psychological phenomenon. Monday, November 2, 2009

YOU KNOW ? I used to shop in a local supermarket, and every time I did, I'd wake up the next morning, with an ear, throat, or nose infection. So I quit that place, and completely switched over to another supermarket that's a pretty long ride from where I live. And now, several months later, I've never (not even once!) gotten any of those nasty infections, after shopping for food. CONCLUSION:
